Lt. Burl Kimble is a decorated (21) year veteran of the Bridgeton Police Department serving in the capacity of the Executive Officer.  Some of his accomplishments at Bridgeton Police include the honorable Life Saving Award, Exceptional Service, Honorable Service and Unit Citation.  He was previously honored as "Officer of the Year" by the Bridgeton Area Jaycees.

During his career, Lt. Kimble served in just about every possible assignment such as:  Uniform Patrol, Community Policing Unit, Criminal Investigative Division, Hostage Negotiator, Anti-Crime Team, Watch Commander, Internal Affairs and Director of the Police Athletic League (PAL). 

     


Lt. Jamie Battavio was hired with Bridgeton Police on February 14, 2000.  Since then, he has made it through the ranks proving he is a natural leader.  He also has been assigned to the various units offered in this agency such as:  Uniform Patrol, Community Policing Unit, Anti-Crime Team, Criminal Investigative Division, Watch Commander and now as the Patrol Bureau Commander. 

As a decorated officer, Lt. Battavio has received the following awards:  Life Saving Award, Medal of Honor, Combat Cross, Education Achievement Award, Meritorious Service Award and he too was also recognized as a "Community Hero" by the Bridgeton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Lt. Battavio has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and currently holds a NJ teaching certification. He is currently working on a Bachelor of Science degree in the Administration of Justice. 

     


Lt. David Mander is a 21 year veteran with Bridgeton Police.  He was recently promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on August 7, 2007.  Lt. Mander is currently assigned to the Uniformed Patrol Bureau as a shift supervisor.  Lt. Mander has served as the in-service training coordinator for our agency training many of today's police officers.  Lt. Mander has advanced training as a traffic crash reconstructionist. 

As a decorated officer, Lt. Mander has received the following awards: Meritorious Service, Honorable Service, and a couple of Unit Citation Awards.    

Lt. Mander oversees the Police Explorer program in which training and guidance is bestowed upon school aged children and young adults.  Lt. Mander is in essence training "Tomorrows leader's" to become productive members of society.  As the representative for Bridgeton Police, Lt. Mander is also an instructor at "PYW" also known as Police Youth Week.
